Hello, happy Tuesday, welcome to our fifty episode. So exciting. Sadly, Sydney is not with us this week. She is taking a little bit of a break. She is really busy right now and has a lot going on with her show and just needed some time off. So I'm here, but don't worry, I'm not alone. I've brought a very special guest. Introduce Yourself. Hi, I'm Natalie's MOM, Susan. Susan, I feel very honored to be here on your fifty episode. The famous Susan is here in the flesh, everyone, the one I did the road trip with that I talked about last week, while I talked about you all the time, I guess. So they know you, but they're gonna get to know you even better this episode. Wow, scared Garret, it will be fun. And where we are together? We're sitting in our dining room right now, which is, yeah, Nice, because and I've been recording on zoom lately and so much more fun when you're in placing together right. Yeah, really, I'm happy to have you in person. Happy on me, rappy to have you run bold and well, you know what it is. The first segment, right, mom, of course, you want to tell them three, two, one. Yeah, good job, that's good. We three, two, one. I guess. I guess I'll do mine first, sue, so you get you know how it goes, though. She's a regular. She listens, of course. All right. Well, my first three, in case you don't know, this stands for three really good things that happened last week, to not so good things and one thing we are manifesting. So my first three is fourth of July. Was Fun. I went to my friend Kiki's house and it ended up just being me, her and our one other friend, Julie, aside from her sister, who had a couple friends over. But it was Super Nice and fun and I love Kiki and Julie and it was actually ended up being pretty nice out that day, which was nice. So we hung out at her pool and honestly, we didn't even go in the pool that much. The reason we, like went in the pool was to help her encourage one of her dogs to go in the pool. Kiki has a dog named Maui, which is funny because I have a cat named Ali now he loves going in the pool. But her other dog named Cona. They're named after the Hawaiian islands. Kamina was scared to go in the pool and it was so sweet. So we had to like lure her in with Turkey and we had to keep walking up and down the stairs is to show her it was okay, key, yeah, it's Jurkey. Kiki's just like dangling Turkey in the pool. Okay, it's funny. But yeah, I was Super Fun and so we like hung out like all day and night pretty much, which is fun. I love like when you just get to spend all day with friends and stuff like that. So Super Fun. My second three is that I had my first lessons for VIP kid this morning. If you've been following the last few weeks months, maybe of the podcast, then you know I recently got a job working for VIP kid, where you basically teach kids in China English online, and I taught my first three lessons this morning, bright and early. My next one is at six I am on Thursday, so crazy, and I have four, I think, that day in a row. I know, right. Yeah, I know people are signing up for me, which I was naives about, but yeah, a little less, you know, nervous now that people are signing up and I feel like I did a good job. I'm sure you did. Yeah, it's very silly. We've got our little set up behind my mom right now. I have a map in the alphabet and a rainbow little classroom, a little class room in the house. Yes, I'm just glad I got the first one over with because I was really nervous about it. But it's not so bad and I think I'm pretty good the men. The last three is that I went to New York City for the first time in forever, which was Super Nice. I guess at least six months. I don't know how long it's been, but it was really fun. I was a couple of my friends and we went to this bar and it was cool because it was a rooftop and it was July, third that we went. So they ended up doing fireworks, which was Super Fun to see from like a rooftop bar in New York. Yeah, so that was super cool and fun. Yeah, that sounds Nice. Yeah, it was nice. It was nice. All right, Mam what's your threes? Well,...

...obviously my first one is that Natalie is home. She's moved back East, yes, and I'm very happy about that. It's been hard the last four years having her so far away, and I mean even though I've been to Utah three times in the last couple of months and I'm going to MISS GOING TO UTAH. I love it. They're I'm just so happy she's home. It just feels so good to have everybody home. My number two is on our way on our drive back, we stopped in Chicago, where I grew up, so I got to see my two best friends growing up and we spent some time in my hometown that I grew up. I got to show Natalie, you know, all the all the hot spots where I used to go, and then my friend Missy, was so great the next day. She took us all over Chicago and showed us all the highlights and the being of course, which I had never seen before. Uh. And then my number three is that my father, Natalie's grandfather's turning ninety next week, so everybody's flying in for that. My nephews are coming in from Chicago, my brother and his wife and Canada, and my sister who's here, her whole family's going to be there and we're all going to be there and it's going to be so nice. Just going to be a great day to have everybody that we haven't all been together for so long because Natalie never there, never seems to be here when when they come to visit. So I know, yeah, something really looking forward to that. Yes, yeah, very good mom. All right now, he say, are two's? Yea, I will start with mine. My first one is one of the ones I had last week, which is that I still have my Frekins die on my eye, which is annoying and it's been annoying and I haven't warn me, Scarrett, and a week tragic. So, yeah, it's just kind of a bummer, but I don't know, I think it's getting better. Hopefully definitely looks much better. Okay, well, hopefully. So that's that's just my first one. That the little sty update for you. And then my second one is just the humidities crazy and then, yeah, humid today. Yeah, I'm getting you to do it again. And we went on a walk this morning, which was nice because my mom's off today obviously, and it was so hot and human. It was like ninety degree is plus humidity. It was like horrible. Yeah, I was like passing out the whole walk. Well, that I don't think you ever get used to that. Yeah, I know. Yeah, that's it's brutal and I'm used to the opposite now. Yeah, well, the dry heats so much nicer. Yeah, so, yeah, that's that's it for my toes to speak. What about you? UH, mine is or mine are the first one on our drive back, the last day of our drive. Oh, yeah, the weather was not cooperating and it was kind of brutal at certain points. Yeah, that was my two last week. I was it. Okay, you can continue. All right, different perspective. Right. Well, I didn't realize. I haven't listened to it yet. Let's come out and I don't know, because she told I was driving and you could barely see in front of you. was just raining so hard and it was so foggy and I just kept following this Rv so I could see something as I knew where I was going, and didn't know until afterwards at Natalie was really scared. It's I feel kind of bad. No, it was good. I was glad to be powered through. Yeah, it was an exhausting ride. When we got finally got home, we both felt like it's like having sea legs. We felt like we were still need yeah, it was a it was a brutal, brutal ride home, so I was happy we made it. Yeah, back safe and sound. And then the second one is unpacking at Leye's things. She's got so much stuff. You just got a lot of stuff and it's never fun. I mean, pat you know, moving out of the apartment was, you know, one thing, but anyway, we'll get through it. You just got to do baby steps. Yeah, and then eventually, eventually, you're there. Yeah, so it's just not fun during the process, really not fun. NOPE, nope. Yeah, good ones, mom, better than mine. Thanks. Yeah, my one this week. I'm manifesting that. Well, it's seeming like a lot of my high school friends are going to end up staying here moving to New York, so I'm manifesting that that's true and that we all, you know, get to...

...hang out still and it all works out and we're all happy with what we're doing. I mean, they all know my career is a little bit trickier than there's and the sense that I won't always have a stable job, but hopefully I'll be pretty steady in the sense that I'm New York based at all times. Yeah, yeah, what do you manifesting? I'm manifesting what I'm always manifesting the back of my mind and the front of my mind, that Natalie has a successful career that's happy with. She gets cast in some good things and it's pretty steady and she's happy because I think she's really talented and she's a great girl. She deserves it. She's worked hard. Yeah, so manifesting that and for her sister. I just have to add in, yes, that things work out for her and her career as well. Yeah, yeah, good one, mom. Thank you very mom. One to do it is, Mam a mom. Yes, okay, so we're gonna skip bills facebook and jump to a content update. We just watched the latest episode of the Bachelorette. This was my mom's first one of this season. Yeah, so I was catching her up throughout the episode. Yes, what were your thoughts? My thoughts are I love the New Jersey Guy, Greg Greg. He's adorable and I think they look so cute together. And she's got some cute guys. But and of course, who's The guy who, forget his name already, had the one on one? The Guy, yeah, that we don't like. Oh, I forget his name already. Hunter, Hunter, yeah, stand hunter. I hope she realizes. Yeah, he's so ichy this week. Oh, he's really creepy. Yeah, yeah, I I wish she could watch the tapes, I was saying to my mom we were watching so she could know their true colors. Yeah, she won't know untill after, but I figure it out. I have faith in her. I also have to say I told Natalie I miss Chris Harrison. Yeah, he's just, you know, he's brand to me. Yeah, I don't know, I don't know. I'm sad about that. It's never about him, though. It's always been about the bachelor or what I know, but I don't know, just doesn't feel right. Yeah, did you like the guys she had the one on ones with? Will Start with Blake first. So Blake just came in basically on this episode. I think they seem to really like each other and she seems to really like everybody, though it's hard to yeah, well, I don't know. I guess they also kind of they did a preview for the rest of the season and it seems like he gets pretty far. He gets far, but it seems like he's not as into her. I don't know in the preview. Maybe it's hard to tell how they edit things. I know. Yeah, but it seemed like he was having a hometown yeah, it's they like showed him talking to his sister's right. Yeah, so she must like him. Yeah's it there? Yeah, where his hunter? I didn't see that much in the preview thing, thankfully. Yeah, yeah, I think she has a pretty good judge of character. I think one of the guys who was tonight, he was saying that he was gonna tell her about a hunter, that there's always someone, Uh Huh, who, yeah, goes and yeah, rise to yeah, talk about the many and then, yeah, you've missed the last few episodes. That's what they've all been. There's always there's been a bad guy and they all, but the whole group, will like form together and tell her that he's bad. Oh, it's been a different bad guy each week. Yeah, Oh, I know, it's interesting. I know. This week there like like no bad guys and then hunter came. Yeah, like him. Yeah, but yeah, did you like Blake? Did you like them together? Yeah, they were good. Yeah, he was. He was good. Yeah, no, I liked I liked all the guys in the one on one. Yeah, you liked Andrew. He was the other one yeah, I know I was talking. I think I mentioned on the podcast last week that I was liking Andrew. So I'm glad he got a one on one and he's such a cute smile. Doesn't she just seems really sweet. Yeah, it's like a good guy. HMM, I know. and well, because I wasn't sure that they're you know, their relationship wasn't just gonna be fun and surface level, but then they had those deeper conversations. Yeah, everything, and he really was even sweeter than I thought. Yeah, you know, I liked him. MMM, it's good. Yeah, him and Greg gets, either of them or the bachelor. Maybe I'll sign up. Yeah, contest. But GRAG LIVES IN JERSEY, not too far from us. He's so adorable, I really think. I mean she's crazy. She doesn't choose him. He don't even know of that. Well, though, I mean he's cute, but he's cute, but he...

...seems normal. Yeah, he does. Yeah, yeah, I don't know. And you know what I liked about him too, how he was crying when that other bachelors telling his story, sweet about how his wife passed away, and he was just emotional. He was so emotional. I thought that was so sweet. I love that. It was sweet. Yeah, got him all worked up. Yeah, he was being really nice to him. Yeah, he like commends him. Yeah, yeah, that's a that's a good quality, good character. That's true. Yeah, that was good. MMM, it was good. Good little bachelor recap. Okay, you have to talk about your other show. You're obsessed with. Mom Down to Nabbey. Yeah, so my other daughter, Stephanie, has been trying to get me to watch that during the whole you know, lockdown, and finally one before them. Yeah, even before then. And you know my husband, when he watched it, he binged it over like a long again. Oh yeah, he binged the whole thing really like watched a day and night over. This was, you know what it I don't know how many years ago, three years ago, four years ago. Yeah. But so when Natalie went back to Utah finally I said, okay, we'll watch it, because your entertainment left my entertainment. And so Stephanie had seen the whole series before, but so we started watching it and then after we got on season four, she was like, I don't feel like watching anymore. You can continue to watch it. And so now that it's on Amazon, it's a lot easier to watch. Actually, what do you mean? It's on am I'm not Amazon. I'm sorry. Netflix. Wasn't it always on Netflix? No, it wasn't on nets like show. It wasn't on Netflix until fairly recently. What was it on? I don't remember what it was on, but anyway, yeah, so it's just easier to watch now. So I'm just really into it and on, you know, a couple of my flights back and forth to Utah, I would I downloaded it and watched it and some trying to watch maybe an episode of Day. The other night I watched four episodes. We were out. Yeah, yeah, it's really good. What are you want? SEASON? What seven? I'm on the last season now, is is that seven? Yeah, I think it's season seven. And then I have to watch the movie. Wow, it's good. It's good. Yeah, I watched Bridgerton to yeah, which is was only seven episodes the first season. Yeah, that was really good. So MMM yeah, wow, all right. Well, I'll have to watch eventually. I just started. Well, the night of Fourth of July, we are inside just watching this show my friends wanted me to watch called broads me. Have you ever heard of that? Mom I have heard of it. I know it's like these two Jewish girls in New York and they're just like comedians. Well, they're there. Characters are Comedians, but they are. They like write the show and star in it and it's just like funny. Oh well, that's yeah, Hey, you would like it. Probably I should watch it, but I get see you doing that. I know. Yeah, no, I know. Julie kept saying I have to watch it and I was saying how it's applying to work at a gym and one of the characters on the show works at a gym. So she was like, oh my gosh, this could be the start of it. This is how the podcast started. Yeah, so it's good broad city. It's on a Hulu so if you want to watch it, I think there's a few seasons. I don't know, I'm still on season one. We watched literally six episodes that night, but they're like twenty minutes long. So yeah, it's easy to binge. Yeah, I mean I watched a little bit. I washed episode seven by myself, which was good. It's definitely more fun to watch with friends, though, but yeah, it was still fun. Yeah, one thing that I really love about Richardton and downtown Abbey is the the costumes, that the wardrobe is just beautiful. Yeah, they're just they're just so lucky they get to wear it. Clothes are so beautiful. Yeah, and it's interesting because you see in downtown Abbey especially, you see different actors pop up that you recognize every once in a while. You know most of them are pretty big, big English actors. The lets, someone who popped up last night was so when we saw in my fur lady m yeah, a British actory. Yeah, M Hmm. Interesting. In the Broadway show that who they play. I'm Broadway. He played an Elf. Course I can remember his name, the main guy, the Henry Hagan, Henry Higgins. Yeah, yeah, I very fun. All Right, so that was fun. Well, this is gonna be a fun little episode. I asked for questions on...

...the INSTAGRAM. I only did like three hours ago, so we had not many replies. But it's funny because the first the first two. The first one is how is Natalie so awesome, and the second one is why is Susan so incredible? Is that from? WHO's that from? Like my friends know. Well, the why is Susan it's so incredible? Is from Emily, my roommate. I Love Them. I'm thinking, you know the one about me. She is awesome. I agree. Why is she awesome? I don't know. I yeah, she's just the I'll tell you. She's always been. She's just always been talented and funny and sweet, and I could just go on and on. She used to entertain Stephanie and I, my other daughter. We would just sit on the bed and allie would spend an hour entertaining us, singing, getting into different characters. She was hilarious. It's fun. Yeah, she's fun to be around. Well, Susan is incredible. Will have to talk about all of my friends. Love, love you, love her, serious, all my school friends, or well, all my friends from college, and then also all my high school friends. Everyone just loves you, and it's like also thinks you're beautiful too, but so nice. They yeah, friends are all. So you've got good friends. You've a good good groups. You're lucky. Well, you dry good. Keep for it. That's true. Not just they're lucky too. Yeah, it's a given. Take. But yeah, well, you're just really I mean I think I are like you. You're really sweet, you're really I don't know. I mean. Kind is just the biggest thing. Like you really taught me about kindness, I feel like, do you do? You think about that a lot? Yeah, I do. I but you know what your I always say you're your two point meet two pot oh, because you're just so much more like. You do so many things that I could never do, like perform in front of a big group of people, well, audition, so many things. You do things I can do. G. skied. I'm not very good at skiing. You I spend a lot more time. You have a lot more arm strength than me, even though I try really hard to. I think you have more than you think. You're a mom. You're a good mom, the best mom. He's me it. But yeah, I think my Friendki mom like you because you're just so nice and fun and you're down to have a glass of wine in order pizza and, you know, watch the bachelor. I feel like most MOMS probably are down to watch the bachelor. I don't know, though, but yeah, I know a lot of yeah, a lot of women who like to watch the bachelor. Yeah, even are, my dad does likes to watch it. Pretend they like supersent. He's not, but he'll just like slow one by and just kind of hang out there for a while. Yeah, it's so funny. I saw a tick Tock that was like imitating it and I was like that's my dad too. Yeah, it's probably typical, but yeah, you're just so cool one. I think part of it is because of how you grew up. Yeah, so do you want to explain what your dad did for a living and your cool childhood? Yeah, well, but the first thing is is that I have great parents. My parents are that's true. They I mean, I couldn't have had better parents. There's amazing. They are amazing. I know it's fun to hear your friends talk about them. Oh, yeah, like growing up. Yeah, they said they were cool parents too. They were cool parents. So my father was in the music industry, so he probably seemed like younger and cooler. Yeah, well, you know then. Well, yeah, they said they thought they were younger than they are. Yeah, they were pretty be young though. But yeah, he was a big executive at a record company, so was fun. He used to take me, and I could usually invite a friend to a concert and we'd hang out backstage and sometimes we'd go out with the group afterwards or before where they'd have a party with, you know, for the band. I know I remember might the first time I ever had Sushi when we were living in Chicago was with the band rush. We did a limo and we had the whole restaurant, the whole Sushi restaurant and yeah, and then they had their concert. Was Fun, and I'm making mess fun. My friends used to. My friends used to always like want to be the ones who I would take to the concerts. I was and I was wondering how that worked. They fight over it? Yeah, they kind of did. They kind of did. I think I rotated. How many people were in the rotation? Probably Three. That's good. I'm guessing. But my father could get us concert tickets to other acts also,...

...even if we couldn't go back stage, he could get us pretty good tickets and free records at the time is what we were using. I remember when I was really young and he took me to a warehouse of like a record distributor and I just got to go in the warehouse with him and just pick out take whatever, all the right yeah, just shop and take whatever I wanted for free. Why? Why is it? What are you there? Had that happened? I don't know. Maybe. I don't know if maybe he know. Like you know, there were called distributors and they would wear house the merchandise would be the company. So, for instance, like his record label would sell to the distributor and the distributor would sell to the retailer. So they're kind of the in between. Their the in between guy. Yeah, and I don't know, maybe he traded his own labels, records for them for whatever I picked out. He'd maybe, maybe, and he just gave them an equal amount of of his stuff. Yeah, but yeah, no, it was fun. So we moved from Philadelphia to Chicago and then to New York. How old, ring, how old were you for each of those moves? Well, we moved to Chicago I was eleven and then when I started college they moved to New York because his label was bought by he worked for mercury records and then polygram bought them and they were in Chicago and New York. So then my family moved to New York or New Jersey. Yeah, when I started college, which is hard. Yeah, it's hard. You're lucky. It's nice to come back from college and be with the friends that you grew up with. Yeah, no, I know, it's really nice. Well, and I'm lucky that I'm from near New York so that if we all live there, then we're all still near each other. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, you're lucky because that's a place a lot of people want to be, yeah, or end up at. Yeah, so, yeah, it was fun. I had a great childhood. By the town I grew up in, Glenco, was fantastic. It's so cute. Yeah, that's the suburb of Chicago I was talking about last week that we got a little visit of a little tour. Yeah, it was a it was a great it is still is. It's a great little town. Yeah, so, yeah, I had a great childhood, great parents. I was lucky, so fun. So Chicago is where you lived for your most of your like formative years? Yeah, exactly. So I feel like that's really where I grew up and, you know, I formed some really great friendships. I had great group of friends and and a lot of them, I was telling Natalie, it's the weather. It can get pretty brutal in Chicago. So a lot of them ended up going to school. I went to University of Arizona and Tucson and there was a good amount of my friends who went there also, so funny. Good weather, I guess. Yeah, and it's beautiful. Well, yeah, yeah, with the good weather. Yeah, not too far from Utah. Pack twelve competitors. Yeah, I don't know. That was pack ten back then. Yeah, maybe EUCHA wasn't part of it. I was thinking that. I don't know. I'll have to I think it was all that. I don't know. Yeah, obviously that meant someone else if it was ten, right. Yeah, but YEP, we both headed out West, which the Nice thing about that is if you go somewhere to college where you really feel like you probably will never live there unless you go there for school. Yeah, you get to experience something different, which is nice, which is why I did that and maybe why you did that. Yeah, that's definitely why I did that and yeah, no, I'm glad you did it. It was hard, like I said, the distance, but I think it was. It was really nice. Yeah, well, you had the same distance too. Well, no, because, well, yeah, I get cargo. Yeah, it ended up being that, because it will. Initially, when we were in Chicago, was a lot closer. But yeah, I mean not that, I guess. I guess a significant amount. Yeah, definitely yeah, I guess we would know, since we drove. Yep, they see that twelve hours last of driving exactly. Yeah, that's true. We've got the map behind us. I'm looking at because from my vipeak. Yeah, definitely, the West Coast driving is a lot nicer than yeah, it's once you get to Chicago, the drives not as nice now. Well, and there was all these tolls in Illinois and we're still confused about how to pay it. I know I'm very confused about that and I don't know. Maybe they send a bill to your house. I don't know. Everyone. Yeah,...

...if you live in Illinoisre you somehow and know how that works? Yeah, please let us know, because we couldn't even pay the cash toll. They weren't even taking it. They said you have to pay on the website. So we went on the website and it was like think it was trying to make me sign up for like the Illinois Pass, which I don't need. Yeah, we're going to drive through there again probably, and unfortunately I forgot my easy path. So yeah, that was the issue. Yeah, yeah, we had the easy pass for the drive to Utah, so we didn't have to deal with this last time. Yeah, a lot easier. Yeah, oh well, that's okay. Yeah, yeah, my God, Oh, I know. What I was going to say is my two have so many bug bites again. Yeah, so random. They're just killing me. They love you, I know, so annoying. I know you like. Well, that's one thing I didn't pass on to you. Your father passed that on to you. Yeah, the the bugs love. Yep, one thing you passed on was the lave for wine. Yes, you want to talk about your favorite ones? I mean, I guess the my one of my favorites that I like to drink is Rumbauer, but I don't get it too often as an everyday wine because it's, you know, it's like thirty eight dollars a bottle. I think. Is that just shardon Ay or what? What is that? Now they make different other different lines, well, not just brand. What's your favorite? Shardenay's your favorite? CHARDONA is probably my favorite. Yeah, I like I like I like reds also, but in the summer I like a Cold Chardonnay. There's nothing like that really better than rose. I like a rose to yeah, no, that's true, like a cold rose. It has to be cold. Yeah, in the summer, just taste so much better. Does it depend on the VIBE? If you would pick rose or Chardon ay? No, no, no, how do you pick then? I don't know. It's like what you pick, what you want to eat, whatever you're in the move for. That's what I mean by the VIBE. I guess, if you think of it that way, that's I think. What's your favorite red? I don't know. What reads do you drink? Then you drink what? Cabernet? Yeah, Cabernet usually, I would say. I like Merlow also. Yeah, that's usually what I buy. Interesting, I've been drinking mall becks a lot in school. Well, I found this brand that I like that's pretty cheap and pretty good. So I'd been drinking that and yeah, it was funny. I was at my friend Julie's house the other day and she had a read and she didn't know what it was. We were talking about wine and she was saying she likes them really dry. I forget what the name of the one she likes the best is, but I was showing her this chart I've shown you of the wine dry. Yes, sweet, it was the driest. It was the top of the dry Oh, wow, I know. Wow, and then I was saying high like mall back's. The wine she had was in all back and she wouldn't he didn't even realize. It was so funny. Oh, it wasn't as good as the ones I like, though. Yeah, it was still good. You didn't look for today when you went to the liquor store. No, I couldn't carry more than four bottles on my own. I could have met you there and I wanted to get the truly iced teas too. If you've tried that, let me know to because I've had the truly lemonades I think I made. You tried? Well, maybe not, did you? I had the truly lemonade you bought someone you were here. Yeah, but the holidays have the lemonades, I think. Yeah, and then they have a punch now to which is supposed to be really good. What's in the ICED tea? What kind of liquor? I don't know. Yeah, it's the same with all of them. I really know. It's just like, I don't know. I don't love those pre mixed yeah drinks too much. I don't know. I don't know. I like the ICED tea's. Normally there's like a one that's a different brand. It's like called twisted tea. Oh Yeah, yeah, I've heard of that. Have you had it? No, I've never had it. Pretty good. They're convenient, those type of drinks, but if I'm home I'd rather mix something myself, it's true. Yeah, if you're going somewhere, it's easy to bring. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, we need to go to the beach, Mama, we will. You just got here. It just got here, I know. Well, it's been chaotic because when I got here it was like the weekend basically. So I've hardly been home because the weekend is when my friends who are here have off because they're working like normal jobs. So right, I was like I felt kind of back because my first few days I've been all all over the place with my friends, but it's just because I know they're, you know, pretty much just free on the weekend. Yeah, that's okay. You and I spend a lot of time together. Yeah, nice bonding. Yes, we...

...did. If you still like each other after a thirty three hour car ride, then you're pretty good. Right. And moving and moving. Yeah, yes, and the other good thing about being back in New Jersey for Natalie's she doesn't have to pump her own gas anymore. I know it's so weird. I'm not going to be used to it. I know we got gass today and it's annoying because now I'm like inpatient. I don't want to wait for the guy to come over in a pump the cat. Well, that's probably how you got your sty though. Oh No, that is hot, I think. Yeah, I rubbed my I after I pumped. I've never done that before, though. I'm when a year of pumping gas. Yes, stuys, I don't know. I love not having to pump gas and I mean it's nice, especially if the weather's bad. Then I feel bad for the guy too, but oh well, it's okay. Yeah, I guess they know what they're getting into exactly. Yeah, and gas is so much cheaper here than in Utah. It's so then the west coast in general. I know I thought it was going to be more expensive here and then it ended up being way cheaper. Like, yeah, we got gas to it was like three D and Ten, and then in Salt Lake when I was leaving, it was like three hundred and forty. And I think a lot of the gas comes into the port in Elizabeth or you know in New Jersey overall. Yeah, I think a lot of the tankers come in there and that might be why, maybe our gas tax is a little lower. Maybe that's why we have tolls. I don't know, I might be making that up off to blog idea. Yeah, we don't really have any tolls in you Tah yeah, if any. Honestly, I know, like I've never paid one and I driven up and down the state. I know, I don't get it. Yeah, there must not be, because I've truly driven up and down, so it must be it. Maybe it is a gas tax. Would make sense. Something has to pay for the roads. Yeah, while we should probably talk a little bit about our relation. Shit, we just kind of implied that we did, you know, the drive together and still like each other. Yeah, yeah, I feel very grateful for our relationship. I know a lot of my friends are jealous of our relationship and how close I am with my mom and how like or the same person, like we were saying. Like we just like to do the same thing. So that makes doing things together easy and fun. Yeah, what do you really like? A lot of the same foods to that helps. Yes, yeah, but besides foods, the same activities we like walking. Yeah, it was nice today. We went for a walk and then we ordered juice, our juice house bowls, which are delicious, and that, and then we went and got a pedicure. Yes, and then went to an awesome bakery to order cake for my father's birthday party. Yeah, Natalie was like, what's this? What's this, and what's this? I know. Well, they had this, all these pastries that I had no idea what they were. They looked crazy but yummy. Yeah, it's a great bakery. We have to try that later. Yeah, we ended up getting what even was it? She said, a bear claw with almond yeah, with almond paste inside and all these almonds on the outside. Yeah, looks so good. I know we got it because a mom mostly, but it'll be good. Yeah, she said, the almond paste and mom lent, because I love almond quest on. I love those. Yes, I like them too, like we are saying. Say, yeah, we, yeah, like coconut a lot too. Oh, yeah, big coconut girls. Yeah, and we'll probably drink some wine later, so it'll be a complete day. It's true. How we have the wine with the pastry? That be good, maybe, yeah, but what else? I don't know, D are your friends? Well, your friends this last weekend. We're jealous that you had a daughter to do stuff with. Yeah, missy was. Yeah. Well, my friends, yeah, who have boys, definitely or very jealous that they don't have girls to hang out with and do things. You know that they love to do together. And I'm lucky. I'm lucky that I have I have great girls. You're both really the most important thing is you're both really good people. You have great character. Yeah, that's the most important thing. And Yeah, and that and I have a lot of fun together. We spent a lot of fun. We have spent a lot of time together during the lockdown. MHMM. Yeah, I was here for three months the beginning of quarantine. Yeah, it was fun. We would walk every day. Natalie, Natalie has to have a plan. Yes,...

...so she's a little less spontaneous than me, I guess. In my head I usually have a plan, but Natalie has to firmly write down her plan, which I know you've heard and some of her other episodes. Yes, I I'm sometimes spun to, which is good. She really needs to. Honestly, you know, I think it was drilled in her head during high school, but she had a lot going on, especially junior and senior year, and if she wasn't organized, I don't know how she could have gotten through it. I always feel in college to that you always just commit to too many things and having way too much on your plate. Yeah, but it forces you to be organized, and it's a good thing you are, because I don't know how lost you'd be able to do everything, do everything. But wait, you were saying, and we make a plan. During quarantine, we'd make a plan and we always said to have a plan for the day, otherwise natalie constant, constantly has alarms going off. Yes, it's true. Well, because, you know what, it would have been awful if we didn't make a plan every day. Yeah, Oh, we cooked a lot. That's what was one of our big plans. Yeah, was cooking. Yeah, you got again. I cooked more than I ever have in my life during that time. It was so fun. It was fun. Well, I cooked a lot this last year. Now, after it, I felt more coming now, I know, so proud of you. Yeah, it's good to be comfortable with cooking. Yeah, it's a really good thing, which I could see you were especially this year. Yeah, after you came back. Yeah, it's good. It's good. Fact that you want to pan for the holidays just says it all. What else you supposed to ask? Or when you're an adult, you know, I know, I don't need toys anymore. Yeah, so much clothes. We know, too many. Well, I mean usually we get tickets to some show. Yeah, I guess that's always a good thing too. Yeah, but this all, it's the always pan. You guys know what that is. It's beautiful. So I need that, and it comes in purple. I now the purple soiled out. They'll have to put a back order in for it. Yeah, lavender. Yeah, but yeah, yeah, we liked cooking a lot. That was one of our activities. What did we do besides cooking? Walk, we watched Shit's creek. Oh, we watched what's it called? I canna think of it. Describe it. I'd like. I'm can't think of anything. Describe it. The one about the musical Marilyn Monroe. Oh, smash, smash, we watched smash. Yeah, we watched a lot of good content. Yeah, I mean, yeah, a lot of people did that. Yeah, well, so did we. What else you supposed to do? And Remember? Yeah, the cooking was really fun. I want us to make a lasagna again. That was fun. Yeah, we were good at that. Yeah, I mean it was a scary time. I remember I had disike myself up to go to the supermarket every time and covid she in the beginning of Covid and, you know, was really sad and horrible what was going on. I mean the bright spot for me was that I didn't have to work and that I got to spend so much time with Natalie because I didn't know when I'd have that opportunity again. Yeah, so that was really nice, it's true. Yeah, I mean probably never are we going to have, you know, just three months of nothing else to do but hang out exactly exactly. So I know that's very true. We made the most of it. That and then the trip to Utah was interesting. The drive to Utah. It was just so strange during the pandemic. Yeah, HMM, it was. It was scary. It's being in hotels. The no one was there. Yeah, that was the nice thing, it's true. Good rates. Yeah, the rates were good. Was Empty. Yeah, but we did find a restaurant that we really like, a Mexican restaurant. It's literally Nebraska called like Margharita something and Carney Nebraska. Yeah, that we ate at on our way to Utah and then we just of course, had to eat there on our way back. Yes, it's delicious. It was is and we get big Margarita's and you can get them to go there, which is food. Was Delicious, though. Yeah, it's too bad it's too far to go for. Yeah, well, there's better places in New York, I'm sure. Yeah, there's good places in New York, maybe not for the price there,...

...but yeah, you know, it was good. No, it was good. I like that place. Yeah, we need my no, it's going to say it was tasty. Seasoning was great. We need to give more tips on our relationship. Mah, how did do you try to make me feel comfortable to say anything I'm feeling to you or what's your yeah, I think that to do with that. I think it's important to be a good listener in general, but any relationship. Yeah, but with your kids, I mean I think it's important to listen, and I mean you know sometimes, I know you'll say it's some of the advice I might give. You'll say, mom, that's not helping us. God, when you tell me to relax, yeah, I'm stressed out exactly what I give you the general advice, but I think, I think listening and trying to put yourself in their shoes and just really being empathetic and trying to give the best advice from the experience that I've had myself some things, you know, there's a lot of things you've done. I have an experience. You guys are so much more advanced in so many ways than we were. Yeah, but I don't know, like I said, I'm lucky. I have great kids and you just you're nice people, well, good character you and I guess you're like that because above the and pop pops. Yeah, this all goes back now, I really does. I really feel that. Yeah, it's a makes a big difference. Yeah, it's a big difference what you what you see. have good role models, and Natalie is someone I never had to she's self motivated. Not Shell. With a goal like mine, you have to well, I mean with everything. It's not like I ever had to, you know, worry about you studying or, you know, working hard. Yeah, you're very thorough and you you want to achieve things for yourself. You're very ambitious. Yeah, telling you she's me two, Oh, maybe three point. Oh, there's two point. Oh, that and Maui. No, no, no, but it's important. I want you to feel comfortable so you can come to me with anything. I don't want to judge you, you know, I want to give you advice, but I don't. I don't think people want to be judged. Yeah, because then you're intimidated to speak to someone because you're always feel like they're judging you. Yeah, whether it's whether it's a mother daughter or mother son relationship or friendship, you don't. You don't need to be judged. That's not you need to be supported. HMM. So, yeah, true, happy. I'm very happy that I have such a good relationship with my kids and I feel very fortunate. I know some friends who don't, and I know friends who have kids who have problems and a lot of problems and in terms of bad behavior, and I mean everybody strays once in a while. That's life. But and they make mistakes, which is normal, and that's really sometimes the only way you can learn. But I think if you just support, don't judge give advice. Well said. Thank you. I have something I was gonna say. I I don't remember. Oh, well, yeah, you've had a long day already, I know. Yeah. Yeah, hungry. I'm thinking about the pizza now. Yeah, GOING TO WE'RE gonna be unhealthy today. Yeah, were going pizza. Yeah, I want Sushi now, the after your story about your first time having Sushi. Yeah, well, that wasn't really the main point of the story. Really. That's my take away from that's so funny. Yeah, have anything else you want to add? Mom Um, very proud of you and I think that's pretty amazing. I that you guys are on your fifty episode. I know. Are you honored to be in the fifty? I am honored and I you know. I...

...listened to some other podcast and they'll do maybe like ten episodes and take a three month break, and you two really haven't had a break. Yeah, which you definitely deserve. You're both busy girls. It's true. We are achieving busy girls, but I'm very impressed. WE FROM OUR DRIVE TO UTAH. Natalie kept playing when we were driving to Utah podcasts. Yeah, WE'RE DRIVING TO UTAH. The first a year ago to move Natalie to her apartment that she she was in the last apartment she was in. She kept playing podcast for me and and I said, you know, you you should do a podcast. You and SID would be really good actually at a podcast. Girls are really good speakers and because your performers and we have a lot of cool experiences and I can't believe now, like I said again for the tenth time, that this is your fifty episode. That's pretty remarkable. Yeah, so congratulations, Nat and said thank you. I know, and I'm honored to be on the fifty episode. I'm sad, citizen, but if I had taken number two, it'd be you. Mahs, Matt, not to take that, but I get it. All Right, I understand. Last question. What's your cocktail of choice that you can make? I think I know the answer. Martini, dirty MARTINIS. Yeah, who, we should have those tonight. We could do that. Yeah, yeah, love the dirty Martini. Mine is a COSMO, for the record, but Oh yeah, we made good cocktails to another that's another skill that we achieved. We learn try to make cocktails. Yeah, all the important skills, I mean things that you know want. Are you gonna bother to do it? So, true, I do of time. Yeah. Yeah, the other thing I liked is how you could just order the liquor online and then pull your car up booking your trunk and they put it in there and that was it. Yeah, yeah, that was nice. Yeah, that was nice. Making lemonade out of Lemons, I guess. Yeah, throughing the pandemic. Yes, literally and figuratively exactly. I I am annoyed. I can't think of the last thing I wanted to say.
