I'm Natalie and I'm Sydney and we're so excited you're listening to our sixteen episode. This week we're going to be talking about love languages, which is a super fun topic, but first we will get into it with our three, two one. Welcome to the three, two one. Oh, so the first really really exciting thing this week is that Biden what we're really unbiased. Yeah, you know, we were Biden gals from the beginning and we're so happy. And Kamala the first to be my advice. God, she is a woman of colors, just and she's like, well, the beautiful yeah, did you say that? showed up some oh my gosh, it's so funny. Sit and I watched like the speech together and then we watched us and L and the outfit that they had on. Sel How did they guess the same thing? And I actually read an article about it yesterday because my mom and sister and I were talking about it too. We're all shook. But apparently they had like someone on the wardrobe team like on each piece, like the jacket, Blouse, the pants, and like they like it's funny. The jacket was originally they were going to use it for like a Melania trump scene, but they didn't end up doing that, but they altered it in and they just did all this crazy work. But yeah, anyway, a Queen and we love Biden. So super good. Yes, and next one is just that my audition that I've been talking about went well for our senior show. Yeah, that's pretty much it. It was. It was good. We'll see. We haven't received the cast list, if that's even what we're calling it. Yeah, it's like an assignment, like, yeah, the song list yet. So we'll see, but I feel pretty good about it. And then at last one is just that it's snowed, which is good and bad. It's just so pretty here. I mean it's funny because our question last week was about the snow and I was saying how I think it's so pretty, but I don't like being cold, which is pretty much home feeling right now about it, like it was. Yeah, so anyway, how about you said? Yeah, my first one is that I found time to go home. I know, I just kind of came up and I was able to and so I got to go up and spend just one night. I was there for less than twenty four hours. Just spend the night and my home with my mom and sister and got to see Max and my grandma, my aunt was in town, and most of portly, silly millie and it's just like any bunny. And Yeah, sorry, it was just like wholesome and sweet and it was nice to I got my laundry done. Yeah, it's kind of funny story that I hate my mattress at home. My Dad likes switched my mattress about, asking me, blah, Blah Blah. But I have this huge memory phone mattress at my house and Idaho and I don't really like sleeping on memory phone. Sorry if you do, but I just like really like soft beds and so it's always like a downside of going home that I love my bed here in Salt Lake and so I'm like, m have to sleep on the memory phone bed, but I was like so tired I didn't even phase me. Yeah, but yeah, so I got to go home. That was really fun. That's kind of Nice that at least the bed you're at majority of the time is the one for sure. Like my bed at home I actually love better than my one in here. But so it's always exciting, yeah, that I get to sleep in it. But it's kind of funny in August when Natalie and our friend Chie went up to voice when we did our ghost stories episode, one of the nights we did sleep inside the house and they shared the match. The matters that I don't like to sleep on the memory phone bed and I slept in the other room because I was like because I love that other bed, but it's a twin, so I'm like,...

...why would I go sleep in there unless I have a reason to? But it is way softer and I like it better. Yeah, yeah, so that was really fun. My second one is that I finally bought these white shoes that I've been wanting. Obviously you guys know, like platform tennis shoes are so in right now and I have one other pair of platform tennis shoes, but I like think they're kind of ugly. They're like halfway cute halfway ugly. So like I feel that they're like little I fee and so I like had them if I really wanted to wear but I didn't love them. Yeah, but I was at warmer yesterday and I saw them and I was like those of them, I need this, and they have this like Pinkish purpleish like reflective yes saying around him. They're so cute. And then my third is Bidon and CATTLA. I knew it would be yours too, so I just put it on there because I have to. Yeah, it's just the most exct, like the best thing that could have happened. And one thing is that not then I both actually voted for Joe Biden in the primaries because, I mean I knew from the start that Biden would be able to defeat trump because he is a more moderate candidate and so he would appeal to like the more conservative people, and so I knew that that was going to be the way to beat trump. And it really wasn't about like who's the best option, it was like who's gonna be trump? That was what my mind said was for. So, yeah, I feel that he wasn't my first choice at first, but my first choice dropped out. Yeah, I could vote, but it's for the best and I realized what Sidney said, that Biden had the best chance of winning against trump, which is what we need, a really just needed and you know, we still got a woman in the White House, so it worked out, let alone a woman of color. So yeah, awesome, totally okay. What are your to said they because, guys, it's been a rough last couple days. Well, it was really Saturday was great. Obviously, Biden, we were hype. Yeah, then Sunday night. Okay. Well, I'll preface this with that. My birthday is this week. When you're listening, it'll be like two days after. And Yeah, my birthday is this coming Sunday, November fifteen. Everyone semi presents, but so I you know, obviously because of Covid I didn't have any big crazy plans that I would love to have, but I did have a little plan. I was trying to get hyped and since it's my twenty second birthday, I thought I'd be fine to do a tailor swift themed like party. Will call it a party, even though it's not a lot of people, but I have everything to party. Yes, her we were going to party together and, yeah, have everyone dressed up as a different phase or album of Taylor swift, different music video. I thought that was a super fun, cute idea, and it was all girls. So it was just going to be like fun vibes, play Taylor swift music and whatever, silly Mama Mia, fun girl music, and we were going to go to dinner before and then go back to my house. My mom was really sweet and ordered a cake and she said she helped pay for alcohol and food and whatever. So I was like thank you, because she knew it was already kind of sad, like because I have so many friends here and I could only invite, you know, like eight or so, and so then, so then last week I think we got something saying that you can't have a gathering of more than ten people. I just thought I was like okay, like we're fine, we're pretty much like right there with me and my roommates and my friends. And so then on Sunday, and here's where we get to this sad part, Utah had a new mandate because our numbers keep going up and one of the things on the mandate is that social gatherings are limited it to household only. So a moment of silence for that. This is effective of from this Monday through November twenty three. So obviously my birthday is part of that. So yeah, that was pretty sad. It is pretty sad. I like not gonna lie. I was like crying like all that night after and you know, it's everyone had their birthdays ruined by COVID and whatever. It's just I was trying to get really hyped about this little thing I could do and had to you know, cancel it, but it's okay. Me and my roommates, and Sydney, who's essentially my roommate, are gonna have fun still and I'm going to do a zoom with everyone else. I'm going to do what my friends who had birthdays over the summer day, which is drop off cake and alcohol at everyone's homes and have us all eat and drink together on the zoom and we can still play Taylor swift music and I'm still going to dress up. I was going to dress as the red album cover because that is the album that twenty two is on. And Yeah, I bought this hat forward and everything, so I should still get cute pictures, hopefully, and it'll be fine. But anyway,...

...that was a long story but needed to be said. A sad thing. And then my second thing is just that the snow. It's cold and it's kind of scary to drive in when it's because I was working when the snow was falling and it was like coming down pretty hard and my car doesn't have like four wheel drive or anything, so it was just a little little sketchy because the roads were not plowed or anything yet. It was my first time like driving that car in the snow. So, yeah, I made it home safe and it was all fine. It's just a little scary and it sucks because I have like heating in my apartment, but it hasn't been working the last couple days and that's sad. It's been really cold. So my roommate is awesome and she contacted our landlord and he finally, I think, came just as I was coming to Sydney's to record, so hopefully fixed it. But yeah, so those are my really happy thing you said. Well, my first one is just that I'm also disappointed about this weekend for you. And it was gonna be really fun and I don't have to work it all this weekend. So I was just like hype for a good time. Yeah, but we're obviously, you know, getting creative and like gonna make the most of it and it's going to be fine. I'm being the fearless album so you'll see picks still, don't worry those listening. Yeah, we can never cancel a photo. Yeah, come on, photo shoots are not controlled by the governor. Yeah, and then it's another one of our good friends birthdays this weekend too, and I was like excited to have this like crazy. We get of just like fun friends and her stuffs, also hers. She just canceled everything we're just doing soon for her. Oh Yeah, and my second is that I realized I need to get my life together for a bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding and I hadn't really thought about it and it was kind of a hard moment because I like don't really like wearing long dresses. Like I'll obviously wear along guys, like it'll be fine, but I like don't really have any place to start. Yeah, and I also have really big boobs and in most dresses that I think will look cute, I will either need to be braw less or wear a strapless Bra. But when you have really big boobs, strapless bras just like really suck and it's just such a pain. But then I don't think my mom will like let me be brawl has all day of Savannah's wedding. I'm wh else. There was like a cute built in brass or that might be the way to go, to try to find something with something built in, but like my boobs are big enough that like no built in Brad's good enough. Really. Yeah, but unless like a strapless one. That's like super yeah, I don't know. I'm thinking like you could look good in something like I wore to my senior prom, which is basically just an off the shoulder dress that's like long with like a slick kind of but we can go shopping together. Yeah, we'll have to. I'll be the bride, will pretend. Yeah, yeah, it's just boobs are really hard. Yeah, so that'll be the hardest part of the shopping experience. That's a struggle. So yeah, stay tuned. I guess what a manifesting this week. I am manifesting it to have a good, safe thanksgiving. I am flying home to New Jersey in fifteen days from today. Me like a number, but so that's that's seen. That's almost within the two weeks. YEA thing. And Yeah, I just I'm coming home the day before Thanksgiving, sir, or I'll really be getting home like at eight pm that night, so I don't have much time to like quarantine before seeing my family for Thanksgiving, which is a little concerning. I'm trying to get a covid test here right before I go, as well as maybe one there the day of Thanksgiving, if they're doing them I'm looking into. While Greens does testing, however, the ones closest to me in New Jersey I was looking at you get your results in three days. There is one that has rapid my mom's not a big fan of the idea of me going to that one, though, just because it's not and as good of a neighborhood. But we shall see. I mean, I think I'll be fine if I get the test right before I go, and then I feel like you can be safe on an airplane, like if you just wear your mask the whole time and you know, yeah, you should like wear your glasses. Maybe. Yeah, trugger and protect true and like. Yeah, because last time when I flew during covid to come back here, I like Clorox to my seats and just are actually I drove to come back here, but yeah, in March. Yeah, and yeah, clorox the seeds, just like we're glave. I don't just do all the things and I feel like it'll be fine. I haven't heard of anyone getting covid on an airplane, at least recently, but I think it'll be okay. But yeah, I just hope it goes well. I'd like, love to like see my grandparents, but I'll probably keep distance from them for a little...

...bit just to be safe. Yeah, I'm excited. I haven't been home for Thanksgiving since college started, so that's been three thanksgivings I haven't been home and I love Thanksgiving. I'm a Pumpkin Baby, as we've discussed, so can't wait for my mom stuffing and the Pumpkin Pie, all the things. So, yeah, that's what I'm manifest that's wholesome. Mut's got you stupid. I'm manifesting that I find a time to grocery shop before this episode comes out. So good plan. When you're listening to this, let me know. Gotta we ask me a five grocery shop yet. Hopefully the answer is yes. I haven't been grocery shopping in like two weeks. I was hoping to US night that I don't tell me look in there. I like have a package of hot dogs that I like probably bought like months ago. That's like you can't like cook a hot dog on an electric stove, though, like you cannot a gas stove, and so you can't like grill it, you know. Yeah, and my mom's told me so many times how I shook a gay on a Pan Bah Bah mom, and I like she'll like open my fridge. Like the last time she was here, I like probably had as about as much food as I do right now, and she was like literally, the only thing you have is like hot dogs and like one stick of butter, but I like I'm out of bread, like I have no bread at this point. And, yeah, I'm just kind of a mess. So not it's so mad. I think I can find some time to grocery show. Yeah, I don't know. I don't see it in the near future, though. So yeah, maybe Friday. Seriously, I know I need to go to so funny. I want to bring this up. I have a box of dozen eggs that I got from traitor Joe's and they're organic, no hormone added, and I swear I've I haven't used the full dozen yet, but at least like six or eight of them that I've cracked has had double Yolkes, which is so funny. In my mom's like Oh, it's good luck, and I'm like, I've had an awful weekend, but I'm besides biding. Winning was good, but maybe good luck is coming still once I've finished the dozen. I don't know, yeah, but that's funny. If to find I just thought that was funny. It's it's really rare and I this whole thing has them and it's organic, so it's not like it's weird. But some extra yoke. Your favorite segment goes facebook feed. WHOO. Well, because you guys have been on this journey with bill of his facebook post of how they've experienced this election season, we thought we would just share his wholesome, excited post about yes bide and winning boiler. He wanted vite into win. Yeah, I know, sorry, everybody, probably hard to tell. He said, very excited to have a positive, honest and real leader is our president. Hope is a live I predict you will find common ground with Republicans and we will actually move our country forward toward good things. This is a victory for everyone. Most trump supporters will see this as a good change. As they look back on this moment, your life and everyone's future just got better. And then he said keep the party going today after the big win yesterday. Crank it up, whoo, with a video that's like a compilation of all of our favorite politicians dancing, and it's like some I think it's just like Cela Brey good days gome on behind it, but it's funny. We love it. Yeah, it's nice and wholesome and sweet. It's fun going through this election season with film, with Bell. Yeah, feed it is funny. What a guy. WHAT'S HE gonna post about now? I know it'll be interesting to see who knows. Oh, the BACHELORETTE. Oh yeah, our next segment, which we started last week, is talking about the Bachelorette. If you didn't know, it's airing now on ABC. Yeah, Super Fun. I watch it on Hulu, I think the day after it airs. So Watch on Hulu. Yeah, so Super Fun. I will just give a more I know I definitely fell asleep, but probably halfway through this episode this week. We tried to watch it the night, yeah, of a letter, yes, Saturday night, and so I had like driven back from Idaho that day, like I was tired and I'm not mad at myself and I'm being honest with you. Yes, so we'll piece it together. This might be some spoilers for me, but that's okay. That's okay. Yeah, so this is the episode we've been waiting for, where Claire Lee. Yeah, spoilers if you haven't seen it yet, but we're an episode behind now and we're recording this, so you should be fine. Yeah, keeping up, hopefully somewhat. Yeah, so, Claire, I'm trying to remember how the episode started.

Oh, yeah, it was claire like contemplating being like Dale's the only one, or it was like Chris Harrison asked her and was like what are you thinking, Ale? Yeah, what's what's going on? This is silly. Chris Harrison goes, this is silly, Claire, and then he says this journey is not meant to be silly. It's not. And Yeah, basically we all knew from the beginning she loves Dale. She called them or fiance a ready, but now she can officially say it because they got engaged in this episode. It's so funny. I saw a post. I was like, imagine getting engaged after three weeks, weeks, but also it was probably less than three. Yeah, was it three days? Who knows? Yeah, it could have been like, let's say, each episode is actually like four days. Yeah, you know. So it's like four, four flour so it's like twelve days. That could be less than two weeks. Yeah, why? Wow, it's like he had to propose because it was either that or break up, because those are the options when you're on the show and got to end with a proposal. So in order for her to leave, if she had to get engage. And so they did that, which is wild, but happy for them, I guess. I think I was reading that they're like still together. I don't know if they like actually were engaged then, because I feel like I read that they like just got engage. So I don't know, kind of sketchy sus. Yeah, little stuss, but you know, yeah, so that was pretty silly. And all of the guys, other guys, were like what's going on? He can you imagine going on? You're like we what do I do? Dry Leave? Yeah, I know, so funny. It is funny. So then, yeah, so then they were like don't worry, if you want to cars Harrison was like to the boys, if you want to stay, we are going to have another bachelor at come on, you have that opportunity. I'm sorry that this happened, but it did. I mean, I feel like they'd rather just cut it short with Dale, as opposed to like her just obsessing over him and no one else the rest of the season like that would have been silly to so yeah, so then he was like we're going to have when did you fall asleep? Did you have to see this? I don't say what you're about to say, just how he was like you can stay if you oh no, I didn't know. Okay, yeah, yeah, basically he was like you can stay, we're going to have someone else come, but they didn't know who it was. So it was like drama of if they were going to leave her stay. In the end all of them stayed. Well, yeah, that one guy. We were talking kind of it. It's like two choices, like like two rounds, you know. And Yeah, there's two winners. Yeah, essentially, true, Dale's a winner, I'd say, Hmm, but whoever wins again? Yeah, true. Yeah, so then they were like they all stayed and they were waiting for I'm not really sure how it's gonna work if they're I guess they're not doing the whole like limo thing again. It looked like they were just maybe going to have like a nice cocktail party thing. But yeah, they're all dressed up. This is crazy. I know she was like it. That episode ended with her like coming out of the LIMO, but like they didn't see her. They were like in our room and she was out there with Chris, but it was basically like, and this is where we could discuss like she is like worried she's gonna be like their second choice and it's just kind of sad because, like they came there for Claire, like it was Claire and she's different than Claire. Obviously she's a different person. So, yeah, she just is worried it's gonna be a second choice. Here's the thing. Girls that Claire Sucked and so like I know and most of them, I think now will be like, Yep, Clare's up. Like I really don't think they're gonna be like wow, I miss Claire, like oh well, that's a thing. Some of them are like we're already so emotionally invested in Claire, like Bob, like it's really been like three weeks. Yeah, like how are you that invested? Yeah, like that was why the one guy almost left, Jason, I think he's the one I was saying, who at the one on one where they said the deep things to each other, not like yeah, he like felt he was like I already was so vulnerable with Claire and like well, okay. So yeah, I'm just got broken up with. Yeah, he chose it, you know. So you can either go home and Mope or like go meet this awesome girl. Yeah, hopefully it works out for her. She's like is beautiful and seems like a fun, happy person. So I think it should be a nice change of pace for the show. Not that Claire Isn't beautiful and to fun, happy person, but she was being a little silly. So that's our bachelor at recap for this week. Yes, I'm excited to see how the first week with Tatia's going to be. Yeah, she seems super cool and it's kind of funny. My roommate sent me a meme. It says tatsia arriving at the hotel to save the season, and then it's a meme of someone saying five a ten is speaking. Kind of funny. I think the guys aren't all five. The other pretty hot. I think she got a nice, Pretty Nice group to put it how does Jason feel...

...about the new girl? I think he's Okome to it. We'll see. Um, if she doesn't want to him, all take him. We Love I love chasing. I thought we yes, but yeah, I am excited for for the group and help easy gets some attention, because he deserves it. We love easy to. Oh, I think she'll like easy. Yeah, me too. Think it'll be good. All right, and now on to our topic for this week. Yeah, love languages. HMM. We love love language. It's fun. It's fun. So if you don't already know your love language, you should definitely go take the test. It's at the five love Languagescom and we'll be sure to link that in our show notes. Yes, it's based on a book called the Five Love Languages. Yeah, and if you don't know what they are, we'll just walk through them. There's going to be words of affirmation, receiving gifts, gift to ste not gifts. Gifts is well, maybe that's a gift. Maybe it is acts of service, physical touch and quality time. So do you want to explain kind of what each of the love languages? Oh, yeah, totally. Yeah. Well, love languages are like the way you feel love. So your personal love language is going to be what makes you feel the most loved and like what's going to be the most the best way to receive it. Yeah, yeah, I was going to say the most effective way for someone else to show you that they love you. Yes, so, like when I know what Natalie's is, that that's how I'm gonna intentionally show her that I love her. But then we also most of the time in your own life, like that's also the way you're most comfortable of showing your affection for someone as well. So whatever is your favorite way to be shown that someone loves you is going to be the like your natural way of showing someone else you love them that same way. Yeah, I feel like an example is do this is like to yeah. So, like, let's say I really love gifts, and so, like Natalie knows that I really love gifts, and so she's like, Oh, well, I want to show said that I love her, so I'm gonna pick up a cookie. Like it's not like monetary value, but it's just something, you know, whatever, whatever. So she brings a cookie and I my Gosh, she loves me. That's so nice. So then when I'm thinking on Natalie's birthdays coming up, well, I want to show Natalie that I love our my natural instinct will be to get her a gift, even if I know what her or, let's say, I didn't know what her love language was and I just naturally wanted to show her something. That would be my natural way of doing it, is whatever my love language is. Yeah, so I think we can share ours doing to go first, sure, all of them, all the percentage totally. Yeah. So my top one is words of affirmation, and I have thirty three percent words. And then I just like literally just took the test right before this and I always knew my top one was words of affirmation, but I didn't know what the percentages were for the other ones. So that's what I wanted to find out. My next three are all tied, and so that's receiving gifts, quality time and acts of service are all at exactly twenty percent, which is kind of interesting. And then the lastly, we have physical touch, which is at seven percent, which really makes a lot of sense per city. Yeah, ours aren't similar, but different. My first one is also words of affirmation, coming in at twenty nine percent, and then, not to fall far behind that, is quality time at twenty six percent. Then acts of service and physical touch are both tied at nineteen percent, and receiving gifts is six percent. So yeah, I took this a while look, or not too long ago, but like over the summer. So I'd be curious of it changed at all now, but it honestly might have. But it's still pretty accurate, I'd say. So. Yeah, kind of fun and it's interesting that both of us have like a top, a solid top, for like, and then it's like one that like doesn't really yeah, like it's still resonate Y. Yeah, yeah, interesting. Yeah, it is interesting. Yeah, and I think love languages are just, yeah, they're just so important to know, to know yours and to know your partners or your whoever, your friends, your mom's yeah, whoever. It's just helpful to know what they appreciate and daytoday life like. I think. Yeah, I think like things like gifts. Like, obviously, like for holidays and whatever, you'll give your friend a gift, even if that's not their top thing. But like, if you know they like gifts all your round, like yeah, give them starbucks, give them whatever you know or like if that's important to them, or give...

...your girlfriend a little jewelry thing, I don't know, chocolate. Yeah, but I do think that, like birthdays and holidays, that you do do gifts. Like, let's say, your person's like really not into gifts. Like guess was your bottom right? Yeah, six percent. So like, yeah, you'll still appreciate a gift, but like maybe you'd also super appreciate like a really kind, like written note that's like you really mean a lot to me. True with that know things you know or with that get gets. So it's like why not like think about what the person's main love languages and try to ignore it? So like true or physical touch, like making sure that, like they get a really awesome birthday hug or like birthday spigns. If you do the you know, your gift could be some Joey love ties friends, like, you know, quality time, like making sure, like you know, you hang out with them for a good amount of time. You don't just like drop something off, you know, which I think and chest part of. But sad for me about my birthdays, I wanted that quality time with all my friends. So, yeah, I started. I can still sort of do that, but anyway, yeah, our acts of service would be to like volunteer to like help them set up their apartment or something like. Knowing what people's love language is are it's going to be helpful no matter what. Yeah, agreed. I agreed. Yeah, so, I don't know, it's very interesting, like I've definitely noticed in like romantic relationships I've been in when someone is not giving me these things that I need, like they're not giving me the words of affirmation, mainly, is or quality time, honestly, and those are my top two. They're pretty close together. Twenty nine percent twenty six percent, like their cool. I care deeply about both of those things and when I'm not getting them, it sucks and it's something that's kind of hard to say at the beginning of a relationship, especially the quality time, like yeah, Hey, that's a little much, but I feel like after a while, like I feel, I feel like I'd be okay talking about the words of affirmation, being like hey, like, if you are trying to date me and you see a future here, like just you know, I need more from you on this. Like, unless they're doing a good job at it, obviously, then that's great, but I think there's no problem with having a discussion about it, whether it's something new or your partner you've been dating for years. Yeah, I remember my ex and I when I first heard about love languages, I sent him this quiz. I was like take this, yeah, here's my results. Yeah, I want to know yours. Yeah, that's what I was gonna suggest in that situation. Yeah, it's to say, like, let's say you're not confrontational or you don't want to have that conversation, but you are really in need of maybe that's of service. Like I feel like acts of service is the one love language that I like never really think about, but that it's like the little things like yeah, let me help you clean your apartment after we just did this. You know, like that's that's an active service. Like that's kind yeah, and so it's like maybe that's something that like really means a lot to me, but I don't want to be like hey, like, do you think you can start cleaning up? Yeah, you know like that. It just feels weird. Yeah, and so to say like Oh, we should take a love language test to see if it's changed, you know, like even if you did a last week, like that's still like I'm go a sly way to do it. Yeah, and then you can ask them about theirs and, like hopefully the last few, about yours, and you can be like yeah, I really do love acts of service, like like little things like cleaning up, but you know, trying to bring it up that way might feel better, be more, yeah, factive. I'm, yeah, kind of talking through each of them, I think, like you were just saying, listening examples of what they could be or what they mean to you. Yeah, like maybe physical touch to me is mostly hand holding or cuddling into someone else. It's more like in the bedroom type activities, you know, or it's all of the above. Yeah, but yeah, like I think saying like or then they do something like affirming that it's good, like I really love it when you put your arm around me, or I really love it when we hold hands or you know, all these things are. I like it when you kiss my forehead, like sweet stuff like that, like that's really, really meaningful. And Yeah, once you point it out that you like it, they're bound to continue to do it, you know, like why would you not? Yeah, good one. Yeah, I think in my personal experience, like because we both are words of affirmation. I think in our major and in our classes, like words mean a lot, and so, like when you're given feedback after something like I know that I'm always like yearning for just some kind of compliments, some kind of validation, even if it's like that was good, and then here's like twenty five other things that, like, you need to fix. But like if they said that was good, like Oh, I feel okay, you know, but if they just go straight into those notes, I'm like, oh just please, just tell me one thing was good. You know, it's kind of interesting. Like both of our toos. You have quality times, Sho number two, but it's in...

...my group of two. Yeah, and something that we're experiencing a lack of is classover zoom, and so we're in the classroom was often, and so I feel like we're lacking quality time with our class needs and with our teachers and so such. It definitely doesn't feel like there's as much just like rappot between you and your teachers, and so I'm definitely like seeking love for my teachers, not in ally time, like it's not like yeah, that's I'm not, that's not that's not gonna know how I'm gonna feel it, you know, and like you do, my your teachers to love you, like that's something that's important to me, and maybe it's because I come from a family of educators that like real I see them love their students, you know. So I'm like, Hey, you should love me, but yeah, yeah, I think, and we've talked about before. I can't remember which episode it was, but how, like what we do is so subjective. So we need those words because I, you know, I was acting and I think I did a good job, but who knows, like even just today I did like a cold read for class and you know, our peers were giving feedback after and then one of them texted me after. I was like hey, you did a great job, like I've never seen you do something like that. That was cool, and I was like Oh, thanks, like I wouldn't know unless you told me that. Like who knows, especially if it's something you don't do a lot. You're scary. See. Yeah, I think that's part of fly words of affirmation is so important to us. This is kind of the opposite, like a flip words of or love language is like how you would show someone you don't like them. Or like if when you don't like someone like true, the ways that you tried, like when you're petty, like yeah, I'm a very petty person, and so like the way I do that, and so I like wonder if I don't know the answer. This is the question that we can talk about. But do you think you'd do the opposite of your primary one, or do you think you do the opposite of your least one? I feel like I feel like both. Like I don't think I would be giving someone gifts if I'm not at all like mean gifts. You don't. I mean like like you're trying to show someone you don't like them. So like maybe and like words of affirmation. The opposite would be like tell them they suck, yeah, or don't talk to them, which is ghosting. Oh, which we do. Okay, yeah, so we sort of, I mean I sort of sort of do that. Okay. So the gifts, I guess an example, based on what you said, would be when my one of my freshman year roommates, there were three of us, and one of them gave the other two of us kind of passive aggressive gifts, like mine was a blanket because I'm always cold and turning down the ace and so she was like here's a blanket, and the other one was like a shower caddy because she always loved her stuff in the shower or something. The blanket doesn't feel as pass regressive is the shower CADDI. Yeah, it's still it was haired with it because, yeah, because of the shower cutty. I probably wouldn't have thought of it otherwise, but I was like, oh, she's kind of digging on us. Yeah, like, yes, there's things we want, and I that's monestly my favorite plan getting. What a weird gift to give someone. That's so gross. I hate that way. And I was just like, I know you needed it. So it's like giving your neighbors yeah, like fabrize or yeah, yeah, that's so interesting, because then when I'm like trying to come up with something I should give someone for their birthday, Oh, what do they need? Like I think the question, what are they need? And so then I like I think, Oh, yeah, no, clippers, yea, like something that's like, Oh, this is what they do need. Yeah, but obviously you don't get them. That true, true, but or you did. Yeah, no, even with Earth's that. I think that can show you, Karen, some ways depending. Yeah, like, for example, one of my friends was saying to me how she needs a belt and just like set it in passing and I took note and I when I was shopping the other day, I saw a good belt for her, so I was like, Oh, I'll get this to give her for the holidays. Like, I know she needs a belt, so, like, why not? She's probably not going to think to get one for herself. So that's fun, just like paying it. Yeah, and I think it's nice. Yeah, like, and when someone does that for me, like, say, your window shopping with someone and you're like, Oh, I love that sweater, like wish I could get it, like you go back and buy that's for them. That's darling. Oh, that's sweet. Yeah, I don't know, even just like another like fun acts of service, like they can be fun for both of you. Like, I think I don't know if you can go with my roommates. Going to go with me to drop off cakes and, yeah, alcohol to everyone, like that's fun and I think me doing that for them is also sort of of service. Yeah, a fun thing. I mean it's because I'm sad I can't be providing it at my home, but I could just be like get your own cakeer, don't have cake, I don't know, and I think that's also I guess we're giving a gift, receiving gifts and all of that. Yeah, so I guess the act of service...

...would be driving to their home. Yes, yes, it's kind of interesting. Everything that I associate acts of service with is just something I associate being kind with. Yeah, like whenever I'm like yeah, yeah, but I feel like most love language is like things that fall into them were like kind things. Yeah, but like just I guess acts of services and acts of kindness are synonyms to me. Yeah, maybe they aren't. Other people, I don't know. I think they kind of are. I agree. I agree. I think. Yeah, like you said, all of these things are kind things. I guess I mean physical touch and quality time. Could not be kind if you don't want physical time? Yeah, quality time. It's funny that you brought up zoom class, because I was thinking in our class today I was like man, I wish we could all like be sitting in a room together like just for this little like conversation. It'd be so fun and we would like so talk so, so much more. Yeah, I know people aren't participated. Yeah, I don't like to make comments and discussions on zoom. Yeah, it gets so awkward when someone else opens their mic of the same time. And so many like award like zoom, anxiety things. Yeah, like whatever, like sure, I have something I could say, but is it really worth it? No, Xiety, so I. So I don't old, but I did say things today. Yeah, I'M gonna share. Yeah, I know when I also get worried about my wifi cutting out, are my zoom quitting? That's happened to me while talking before and it's a stress, such a pain. Yeah, so, yeah, I don't know that. Just being there together it makes all the difference, for several reasons, totally. So, yeah, I don't know them. Okay, I guess let's like dissect into each other a little bit more, go through each love language and say what you think would be like the best way someone could show you that specific love language. Okay, I'm gonna are you personal. Yeah, I'm gonna do this in terms of romantic part okay, because that's the easiest for me. I think words of affirmation something that's really, I would say, important to me. Obviously once they're your boyfriend or your partner, like, not someone you've just started seeing. But I think I really appreciate, appreciate a good morning text and a good night text or one or the other, or at least some form of checking in during the day. I think, yeah, that just goes a really long way for me. I think it's just something that I grew used to from a past relationship and it's kind of just the standard for me now. And I don't think it's that hard, like it's really it's not that hard. It's free and easy to say good morning, how are you, how's your day going? And Yeah, I'm going to bed now, good night. Like I hate when you're having a conversation with someone back and forth and they don't tell you they're going to bed and they just stop talking. Really do that? I'm not like intense, kind of like a worth like we are taught. I don't text anyone like that. Yeah, yeah, I think that's just like an example of a little thing that I think you could call it a word of affirmation or a service. I don't know. I mean every words, I think. Yeah, like, yeah, really, just they don't have to say in morning, organized or anything, just checking in at some point during the day. I think is important to show your thinking about them and affirms to me that you're thinking about me and you care about me and you want me to be a part of your day to day life. Yeah, which a partner should want. Yeah, and then I have more on this one, just because it's my top one. But like, I would say, giving words of affirmation, like affirming, yeah, that you think they're attractive and they're, you know, whatever you think they are, like why you like them or why you love them. If you're in love. You know, yeah, you don't need to every day be like I love you because you're hot and you're funny and you're whatever, like that's that's gross, but like every once in a while, you know, yeah, that's just nice. I don't know. Anyway, do you want to do you want to switch off? Sure, yeah, words of affirmation? To me, I think it's more the second one. But I think it's like notice little things that like that like maybe I'm afraid of or like things that like I'm scared to do, but it's like noticing that and like yeah, like, let's say, I've really put a lot of effort into my outfit and I like took a long time getting ready, but it's not because I meant to, it's just because I was dressed and I didn't know. But like if you were to say, like, you look so good today, like Oh, thank you, you know, and I think it's affirming things that I'm not able to affirm for myself. I think that's what means a lot to me. But I also, yeah, just like the little things. If I share anything with you, like to be able to say like yeah, that's great, or like I sent my mom a picture of my outfit this morning and she said, you know, like adorable, like...

...good luck or something, but instead like and that's what I want, versus like love the Cheetah, you know, or something like. I need it to be about me and I needed to I don't know for myself specifically, but I don't text people enough to need need anything. Text was yeah, yeah, I don't. That's good. I'm probably needy and that's okay. You know, what about yourself at least. Yeah, I do all right. So I guess I'll do quality time next, because that's the next most important one for everyone. Just kidding for me, but also sit's sort of yeah, I guess quality time. I mean, yeah, just being together like again with a romantic partner, like I think I really like cuddling, you know, is nice and just, yeah, really being with each other. And I like to because I like words of affirmation. I like to have those deep, fun convos when we're together and I feel closer to them when I do that. So, yeah, I don't know that's really up to say about that one. How about you? Yeah, I think a lot of time where you're both like present with each other is really important to me. Like, I think when it's like active quality time, like yeah, let's go do this thing, versus like what it just like comes about as like Oh, want to come over? Yes, sure, like let's just hang out for a second, like yeah, we're both doing homework or on your phone. Yeah, you're watching a movie. I guess I'm movies a little different, but like what it feels mindless and you're not like actively like trying to learn more about each other and like talk to each other. And I don't know. Yeah, yeah, it has to be active in like I think intentional is the is the true thing that I'm meaning. Yeah, that's a good word. Yeah, quality time. I don't know. Yeah, I guess just like say, like you were saying, you haven't had time to go grocery shopping, like saying, Oh, I'm going to the store, I can get you this. You know you have no bread. Yeah, yeah, my roommates and I, or one of my roommates and I, do that with each other a lot will be like I'm going to trade to those day. Did you need anything? Oh Yeah, I'm out of eggs. Can You? Can you grab me some while you're there? Like simple, active service. Oh yeah, I guess. With the romantic partner, same thing, like if you're stressing about having time to do something or something and they just do it for you without, you know, you asking them to do it, not even intending that. When you complain to them about it, I think that's sweet. Oh yeah, like doing those errands with them. Yeah, it's combines quality time and acts of service. Well, whoam yeah, I kind of Din realize the acts of service are pretty important to me until I was taking the quiz. Like I didn't I hadn't really thought about it, but then I was like, wait, yeah, that's like that's what I want. Yeah, and it is weird, like words are obviously more important to me, but like the idea of somebody like making sure that like they clean up after themselves and like like if I were to forget something and they were to do it for me, like that is the kindest thing. Like Ah, that's amazing. And like I'm really independent and like I really take care of myself on most things, but like if someone were to like have my back, and that sounds like that's really awesome, and it's like the little things that when someone like today, one of our friends was texting me and she was trying to find a time to use my apartment for an assignment because I have a nice wall for self tapes and I earlier in the week I'd sent her a picture of my schedule because we were going to try to find a time to do something else together, and she like went back and like knew she had my schedule and like tried to find the best time for me and was like, as this a good time for you, it's okay. If not, yeah, and I was like, oh, that's so kind. Thing like you were like, oh well, I'm going into her space, like let me make sure that this is the best time for her, and it was. I was like yeah, we can do that, like thank you for looking. Or like little things like the other day someone texted me who lives above me, and said, because I got some of my package is stolen, and he was like his any like just you know, you have an Amazon package on the court. I brought it in for you. I was like, Oh, thank you, yeah, yeah, I think it's because I'm really independent and because I don't like to ask for help. But when people just do things and I didn't have to ask for it, it's not that I don't want help, but so that I'm scared to ask. Yeah, I feel that. Well, I gonna do physical touch next, because that's my next one. But yeah, I don't know. I mean kind of all the things I said before. I mean holding hands is nice. I wouldn't say that's like my top important thing. Like I said, I like kind of like much goes with that. I like when a guy like puts his hand around my waists, like really, you like that? I do not when we're like with people, but if we're like cuddling or like something and they like put their arm there. You know, I thought you read like this, this is the worst thing ever when the couples like walk somewhere. Oh, I was like what? Not said, no, no, Natalie can't be that girl, that girl. No, I just mean like when we're Bo...

...getting like intimate with Oh, I don't know, I just makes me feel like feminine, I think because I have a nice like our glass and I'm like Nah, maybe this is them recognizing that. Like, who? I'm a woman, I don't know. But, yeah, I like that and I like hissing. What else? You know, I like all the things mostly. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, I just I really do like physical touch. It's important to me and just being with each other. Again goes back to quality time. I just I like it and I like, like I said, like the sweet moments of like when you're cuttling, they like kiss your your head. You know, I think that's so sweet. I love that. Yeah, but you yeah, I think I like physical touch when I can instigate it, and I think this is because I like because we have dance earlier in the morning and I never have enough time to shower, I like always feel dirty and so like the idea of someone touching me like when I'm dirty, like that's so gross. And but if I like know I'm clean and I'm like sure, but like don't assume, like I probably had dance that morning. I'm dirty, like really, though. I like I'm afraid. Yeah, things I do like? I don't know. I I'm trying to like picture things that I like. Do like any of the things I said, right, yeah, like, like they're fine. Do you like hand holding? Not Really, I don't really. I like kind of get sweaty hands too. I just have to like move a lot. I think. What I do like is when your suit this is so like minimal, when you're sitting next to them and they put their knee against Jorge, I like that. That's like so a little but just like Yep, you're about the hand on the thigh. I like that too. That's okay. The probably deputs on what I'm wearing. If I'm in like a scarter, a dress, I'm like, excuse me, but if I'm in pants, like whatever. Yeah, true, she gotta be ready for it. Please read the room. Yeah, yeah, but now that I think about it, I really do like the knee thing. Yeah, and like when they put their like whole foot next year's so sweet it's silly. If that's my answer for least one. Well, now into my least one, which is receiving gifts. I mean I think it's Nice, especially like for holidays and birthdays, that I like anticipate them from certain people, I don't know, like every day. It's funny, though, because I like to give gifts a lot. Yeah, like I often. All right, I don't often. But I do get starbucks randomly for my roommates and I'll texted sometimes we like I'm getting starbucks. You want anything, but I don't know, just stuff like that. Like I like to do that and I like gift shopping when I when I have a good idea of what I want to get them. Other guys can be frustrating. I'm a little stressed now that the holidays are coming up and I need to get a move on the gifts, get some ideas flowing. But because I like to give good gifts. Yeah, I don't want to just, you know, because the people and giving them to I care about so anyway. But in terms of receiving them, it's nice, but it's it is the least important to me, I think. I mean I just yeah, all of that quality time and words and touch and sir, of this just like step high. Yeah, you can see in my results it's significantly more important to me. So while gifts are nice, especially, you know, again when I was long distance, it was nice to get like a package in the mail because that's almost my form of quality time with ro of him, because it's beyond our physical touch. I can physically touch this bracelet he gave me. You know that he touched yeah, silly, yeah, I don't know. That's all I've to say about that. How are you? Um? Yeah, I like gifts significantly more than physical touch, obviously, and I think it's because Savannah's main love language is gifts, and so she shows that she loves people through gifts and it's like so obviously. It's like it's ridiculous. She just like makes these like baskets and like so many things. Like my birthday, I don't know if you remember, like this huge thing with like so many little things and like this picture and like everything. It's like, Oh, that's from Savannah, like everything is from Savannah. And like we went to target when we were in Idaho and she somehow managed to like pick up a candle while we were in there and I didn't notice and then we like got home and she's like, Oh, I got this for you. I'll say, Oh my, I'm emotional talking about it. Like she's just like so kind in her gift giving, and so I think it like made me really appreciate it and I like know that like that's her showing me she loves me, and so now when other people give me gifts. I know it's that too. Yeah, that's interesting. Yeah, I think we've reached the end of the episode. What a fun one. I think that was fun. I yeah, I love love, language, love, love good times. This is timely, I guess, because it's coughing season, coughing season and holiday seasons. So get all your things together everyone. And it's my birthday, so it's just happy time, sort of, even though I started out...
